Bill Watch

Retired teachers receive thirteenth check and portion of surplus for the Teachers' Retirement Fund.

 

Bill 1123 provides the following amounts in a thirteenth check for retired teachers.

 

  • At least 30 years - $450
  • At lest 20 but less than 30 years - $375
  • At least 10 but less than 20 years - $275
  • At least 5 but less than 10 - $150
    (This amount only applies to members receiving disabiity retirement benefits.)

 

Bill 1376 designates a portion of the surplus for the Pension Stabalization Fund of the Teachers' Retirement Fund. The total amount has yet to be determined.
