IRTA Fall Advocacy Workshops

 

Join us for the IRTA Fall Advocacy Workshops, a series of informative and engaging sessions designed to help you better understand the legislative process and its impact on your pension benefits. Whether you’re a recent retiree or have been enjoying your retirement for years, these workshops will provide valuable insights and the opportunity to advocate for annual pension enhancements.

Workshop Highlights:

  • In-depth Discussions: Learn about the latest legislative updates and how they affect your retirement benefits, including the start date for the automatic 13th checks and 1% COLAs.
  • Advocacy Strategies: Discover effective ways to advocate for annual pension enhancements until the automatic enhancements are implemented.
  • Expert Guidance: Get your questions answered by IRTA’s Executive Director, Laura Penman, and other experts in the field.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow retirees and share your experiences and concerns.

  • Time: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Locations: Various venues across Indiana (see below for specific locations)
  • Cost: Free of charge (Registration required for planning purposes)
  • Lunch: A catered lunch will be provided at no cost to attendees.
